Oops?
The YStyle section of of the Philippine Daily Star has this picture with a floating line that says: "All that glitters isn't gold."
You know, if you're going to quote Tolkien - or anybody for that matter - you might as well do it right. The Legolas fanbase can rule the world if they want to, but I'm also quite sure that the Aragorn fans will make a pretty nice mob.
ETA: Because I just hate effing morons and I love Lord of the Rings and you just can't keep reminding me about old loves because I will never shut up. I don't know if I picked up calling this poem the "Aragorn Poem" or I just named it that myself. I can't remember. What I do remember clearly from the books is Legolas singing and hugging the trees in Fangorn. You want something freaky? It's an attractive wood-elf having an orgasmic high just touching and singing for millenia old trees.
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.
I'm such a nerd for memorizing this thing it's so stupid. Not the poem (I absolutely adore it), but me knowing it. You know what sucks as much? Memorizing the poem-cum-quote of The One Ring. I don't know. It's just not right keeping something like that in my subconscious.
